Multiracial Entertainers: The Female Edition 1

If you’re a regular reader of KolorBlind Magazine, then you’ll be familiar with our tagline which is:

“the promotion of the Interracial (KolorBlind) life through culture, fashion, language and food…”

The KolorBlind life consists of those in an interracial/interethnic relationships and those who were born as a result of such relationship. Over the last two or three decades the number of people who are described as being of mixed race has risen tremendously. We see them on TV, we see them in magazines and we hear them quite a lot on the radio. The United States even has a president of mixed race heritage.

The terms multiracial and mixed-race describe people or groups of people whose ancestries come from multiple races. Unlike the term biracial, which often is only used to refer to a person of two different races, the term multiracial may encompass biracial people but can also include people with more than two races in their heritage.

A person of multiracial descent is defined as follows:

  • white/Native American and Alaskan Native
  • white/black
  • white/Asian
  • black/Asian
  • black/Native American and Alaskan Native
  • black/Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander
