Obama campaign raised $181 million in September 2012…
President Obama announced a fundraising haul of $181 million in September, the highest monthly total of his re-election campaign as 1.8 million people contributed.
The September numbers, which also include contributions to a joint fundraising unit through the Democratic National Committee, no doubt were buoyed by television exposure during the Democratic National Convention.
“It seems clear that many Obama supporters who were sitting on the sidelines became energized about this race last month,” said Rick Hasen, a campaign finance expert at the University of California-Irvine.
“As in 2008, the Obama campaign will be extremely well funded going into Election Day. But this time his opponent will be too. Neither side will be able to blame a loss on a lack of money.”
Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said she didn’t have his campaign’s September report yet. But she noted in a tweet that Romney raised $12 million in less than 48 hours after his debate performance Wednesday night. Still, Romney would have to keep up that pace for a month to match Obama’s September.
As it has from the beginning, Obama’s campaign has paid particular attention to small-dollar donors. One fundraising e-mail from campaign manager Jim Messina last month asked for as little as $5, as he touted that the campaign was closing in on 10 million individual contributions. The Obamas celebrate belated 20th wedding anniversary…
President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama are getting their anniversary date night after all — just a few days late during a busy re-election campaign.
The Obamas arrived at Bourbon Steak in the Georgetown section of Washington, D.C., on Saturday night for a dinner to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. The couple hit the milestone on Wednesday, the day of the first presidential debate in Denver.
During last week’s debate, the president wished his wife a happy anniversary and reminded her “a year from now” they wouldn’t be marking the occasion in front of millions of viewers. Republican nominee Mitt Romney congratulated Obama, joking that the debate stage was “the most romantic place you could imagine — here with me.” Click here to continue reading…

Sofia Vergara strips down for art…
For a provocative new work, artist Domingo Zapata painted on a nearly nude Sofia Vergara then photographed her at her home in June.
“We met through friends and we started talking about doing something together and one day she said, ‘Let’s do it!’ I said, ‘Okay, I don’t have a canvas, so I’m going to have to paint on you.”
Zapata painted the words to a Spanish poem “Life is A Dream” on Vergara’s body, then took a series of Polaroids.
“She is one of the most beautiful women in the world and very comfortable with her body,” he says. “What a canvas!”
Zapata, who will next be working with Eva Longoria, admits, “I’m blessed.” Successful, too. Vergara’s 12-Polaroid series sold for $220,000! Via People.
Nicole Scherzinger on ‘Behind the Music’: “I suffered from an eating disorder”…
Former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger battled an eating disorder for eight years. In a new episode of VH1’s Behind the Music, the singer, now 34, reveals that she struggled with bulimia on a daily basis.
“It’s embarrassing. I never spoke about it,” she says in the program, which released a sneak peek earlier this week.
“It’s like when I got offstage, I was on this high, and I’d come back to my room and I’d be alone, so I would just do things. My bulimia was my addiction; hurting myself was my addiction.”
What else did Scherzinger reveal about her personal struggle?
“Every time I had a second to be alone, I was doing something to myself. You get, like, blisters on your hands or scars on your hands, and I’d try to hide those. I think the girls could tell,” she tells Behind the Music.
“I hated myself. I really was so disgusted with myself and so embarrassed. I felt so alone. I was in a group, and I never felt so alone in my life,” she continues.
Scherzinger is the latest celebrity to come forward about her struggle with body issues, following the inspirational footsteps of Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato and Katie Couric, all who have publicly spoken in recent weeks about their personal battles.
These days, the Hawaiian-born superstar is a force to be reckoned with. Besides serving as a judge on the new season of The X Factor in the UK, Scherzinger is also busy working on the follow-up to her 2011 debut album, Killer Love.
Earlier this year, the singer also appeared on the big screen in Men in Black 3, alongside Will Smith.

Stacey Dash REUNITES with “Clueless” cast!
When she first walked onto the screen in July of 1995, it was love at first sight. America was immediately smitten by a ditzy, glitzy Beverly Hills fashion plate named Cher Horowitz. Well, almost everyone. When Alicia Silverstone first read writer-director Amy Heckerling’s script for Clueless in the back of a limo coming home from shooting one of her iconic ’90s Aerosmith videos, she didn’t get Cher.
“I thought, ‘Who is this girl?’” says Silverstone. “I had nothing in common with her at all. I thought she was a materialistic, annoying little bitch.” As if!
Over the past 17 years, Silverstone and the rest of the cast (which also includes Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash, Donald Faison, Jeremy Sisto, Breckin Meyer, and the late Brittany Murphy) have not only come to embrace Cher in all of her well-intentioned matchmaking adorableness, they’ve also come to appreciate how a little $15 million high-school comedy changed their lives.
In Rudd’s case, that mean teenage guys coming up to him for years, saying, “Dude, you got to make out with Alicia Silverstone!”
Dash commented about the fashion in the movie saying: “That [black & white topper) hat! I thought it was very fashionable. I felt like Audrey Hepburn.”
“I was 27, and I was playing this high school student and I had a son at home who was six years old.” Click here to continue reading…

Hispanics favor Barack Obama in poll…
Every day until the election, Slate will offer up one reason to be optimistic for your candidate.
32 Days to go:
Today’s Good News for Obama: Obama may be hoping the new jobs numbers overshadow his debate disaster, but at least one demographic has his back this November. A new poll suggests Obama has solidified his overwhelming popularity among Hispanics in swing states, leading Mitt Romney by a 30-point margin among Florida Hispanics and a jaw-dropping 60 percent in Nevada.
As one of the fastest growing demographics in the country, Hispanics hold increasing electoral clout, particularly in battleground states. Obama has consistently courted their support by promoting the DREAM Act and issuing an executive order allowing many undocumented students to remain in the United States. Now Hispanics look poised to return the favor. Click here to continue reading…

Facebook: The making of 1 billion users…
The team in charge of tracking Facebook’s (FB) growth works on the second floor of Building 17. Most days, the offices are like anywhere else at Facebook: whiteboards, toys on desks, shorts and flip-flops, pretty low-key. Around noon on Sept. 14, the second floor was packed.
In one of the common areas, a giant screen showed the number of active Facebook users worldwide. About 100 people, including Mark Zuckerberg and his top lieutenants, watched the numbers run up by about a thousand users per minute: 999,980,000 … 999,990,000 … 1,000,000,000. The counter paused for a moment when it rounded 10 digits, as if to emphasize the point: 1 billion users.
The celebration was less exuberant than one might imagine given that Facebook had just officially registered one-seventh of earth’s population. Zuckerberg had thought about doing the whole balloons-and-visit-from-Ryan-Seacrest thing when they located lucky user No. 1,000,000,000. The problem, though, was that the occasion was really more of a notional event, like when the United Nations announces the world’s population.
Facebook’s vast array of computers handles so many users doing so many things, the best they can do is make a statistical calculation. After a few minutes of hoots, high-fives, and good cheer, Zuckerberg and his employees did what they usually do after major achievements: They went back to work. Click here to continue reading…

Earlier this week, the actress tweeted support for Romney, which read: “Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future. @MittRomney @TeamRomney #mittromney #VOTE #voteromney pic.twitter.com/9HFUhWul“
Dash suffered an immediate and widespread backlash from fans and followers.
“You’re an unemployed black woman endorsing @MittRomney. You’re voting against yourself thrice. You poor beautiful idiot,” read one tweet.
Another critic put it even more succinctly: “Still clueless.”

NY Times: Obama’s debate prep affected by his day job…
The overwhelming majority of pundits declared this year’s general election presidential debate a big win for the Mitt Romney. Even the Obama campaign’s own focus group agreed that the debate was a loss.
Obama reportedly failed to use many of the tactics he had practiced in debate camp, so now the focus is on Vice President Joe Biden to see whether or not he can regain Democratic momentum, and also on whether or not the president can make a comeback.
That is, if his job as president of the United States gives him enough free time for preparation. It apparently didn’t the last time. The New York Times reports that, like many other presidents, Obama’s debate preparations had to be cancelled or cut short because of the demands of his job.
On the day of the debate, multiple bombings occurred in Aleppo, Syria leaving more than 120 people injured and at least 34 killed. Also within the region, mortar shelling from Syria landed in NATO ally Turkey, who fired back. An emergency NATO session was called. Click here to continue reading…
Obama campaign criticizes Mitt Romney over Nickelodeon show…
President Obama‘s peeps say Mitt Romney is gonna be sorry for blowing off a bunch of kids who participated in the Nickelodeon show, “Kids Pick the President.”
The premise of the show is for kids to submit questions to each candidate and based on the answers they make their pick for leader of the free world. Obama answered the kids’ questions, but Romney said he didn’t have the time.
Deputy National Press Secretary Adam Fetcher tells TMZ, “It’s no surprise Romney decided to play hookey. Kids demand details, and I’m sure they want some answers on why Romney could increase their class sizes, eliminate their teacher’s jobs, raise taxes on their families and slash funding for Big Bird.”
Fetcher ends with this zinger: “‘The dog ate my homework’ just doesn’t cut it when you’re running for President.”
Nightline’s Cynthia McFadden interviews FLOTUS Michelle Obama…
FLOTUS Michelle Obama reflects on her 20 year marriage to President Barack Obama and keeping politics separate from their relationship. In a 3-part series, kicking of tonight, on ABC’s “Nightline”, First Lady Michelle Obama, spoke to anchor Cynthia McFadden (pictured above) from the White House, gives viewers an intimate look into life in the East Wing.
Here’s an excerpt from the interview:
On not nagging the President with her own opinions: “In a job like this, the last thing the president of the United States needs when he walks in the door to come home is someone drilling him and questioning him about the decisions and choices that he’s made.”
“There are definitely times when I may feel something, but I’ll hold back because I know he’ll either get to that on his own or it’s just not time.”
On keeping her husband’s politics separate from her own issues: “I rarely step foot in the West Wing. In fact people are shocked when they see me there. I rarely walk in that office because the truth is he’s got so many wonderful advisers. He’s got a phenomenal cabinet.”
“He’s got people who are in the trenches on these issues every single day and I’m kind of stepping in and out and I’ve got my own set of issues. So I don’t even have the kind of expertise and the time in to be able to provide the kind of advice and guidance that he’s already getting.”
On preserving family time with First Daughters Sasha & Malia:“One of the things that Barack and I try to do in our lives which I think is one of the reasons our family is so whole, is that we make sure family is family — it’s not this sort of quasi-business relationship. We really do — we’re two people who love each other and put a lot of our energy into our kids and into our family unit”
On losing all reservations about how Obama’s Presidential run would affect their family: “In the end, Barack, our family is priority for him, and I knew that if I said no he wouldn’t do this. And then I had to think of whether I would want to be responsible for not having somebody like Barack you know, someone with his level of intellect, his honesty, his compassion, his vision.”
“Would I want to be the one who stood in the way of this person potentially running this country? And I couldn’t do that, because then I had to think beyond myself and my family and I had to think of sort of the broader benefits that this country could gain from his leadership.”
Part 1 of the interview aired on October 8, on ABC at 11:35 p.m. ET.

Annika Eriksson, Swedish Lunch Lady, Told Food Is ‘Too Good,’ Forced To Make Cuts…
Annika Eriksson, a school lunch lady in Falun, Sweden, has been told to dumb down her food a bit. Well-loved for baking fresh bread every day and offering a huge buffet of vegetables, she was recently told by school officials to start using store-bought bread and cut her vegetable options in half because it’s not fair to students in other schools, who don’t receive the same caliber of food in their cafeterias.
According to The Local, Katarina Lindberg, head of the unit responsible for the school district’s food plan said:
“A menu has been developed. …It is about making a collective effort on quality, to improve school meals overall and to try and ensure everyone does the same.”
The board’s decision appears to indicate that although Eriksson’s lunch offerings at the school did not raise the food budget, garnered no complaints and were designed to give students a variety of healthful options, it is more important for there to be uniform conformity to the municipality’s lunch program than for the food to be any good. Talking to your kids about pornography…
Talking to kids about pornography has vexed parents for generations. It’s even harder today — the Internet gives kids access to a whole lot more than a Playboy magazine under the bed ever did. There are thousands of websites, many with video, and even more with scams and malware that can damage your computer.
How and when to have that conversation remains a conundrum for many parents, already trying to navigate how to raise kids in the digital age.
When he found out his 13-year-old son had been surfing porn sites, one dad chose to handle it in a rather unique way. He wrote a note to his son, left it on his computer and then posted the contents of his note on Reddit, with the question, “I found porn on my son’s internet broswer (sp). Did I go about his correctly?”
The father says he was actually removing a virus from the computer when he found the porn history. His son is shy and not one for talking, so he wrote the note instead, the dad adds:
“He get embarrassed super easily so I don’t wanna make it too hard on him. I typed this up and left it on his computer,” he wrote.
What’s so striking about this is the fact many parents have no idea what to say in this situation. Some options include: talking to their kids in person, asking their spouse to do it or just pretending it never happened. Click here to continue reading…

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West get cozy while house hunting in Miami…
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been anything but shy when it comes to their very public courtship. Kardashian recently told Tatler:
“I can’t even think about being with anyone else than the man I’m with,” and has even been joking about what their offspring might look like.
Kanye, for his part, reciprocated by making the ultimate gesture of affection: He follows only Kim on Twitter. And Monday, the couple went house hunting together in Miami, where Kardashian is filming “Kourtney & Kim Take Miami.”
West kept it casual in Nike shorts and a tee, and Kardashian opted for the kind of practical ensemble we would sport when scouting a new home: a silk shirt, leather miniskirt and sky-high cutout heels. She accessorized with the Louis Vuitton “goodies” Kanye brought back from Paris Fashion Week, a small clutch and cuff bracelet.
“Miami fun day with @kanyewest,” Kardashian tweeted Monday afternoon.
And it looks as if they had a lot of fun indeed. Click here to read more…

Will Republicans accept an Obama election victory?
What if President Obama wins re-election and Republicans don’t believe it?
The question isn’t far-fetched. For several weeks, we have seen Republicans challenge the veracity of a number of election-related facts, and the outcome of the presidential election may be no different.
First, some Republicans claimed that public opinion polls were all skewed to show an Obama lead. As Slate reported, 71 percent of self-identified Republicans and 84 percent of Tea Partiers believe in the skew. Republicans confidently claim that the polls are oversampling Democrats, not realizing that these are self-reported party identifications, which rise and fall with candidates’ support.
Distrust of the polls is not a new phenomenon, and it is not confined to Republicans. As Nate Silver pointed out, when Democrats were behind in 2004 they believed the polls were skewed toward Republicans. Fortunately, the Romney debate performance last week apparently was enough to “unskew” the latest numbers. Click here to continue reading…
Zimmerman requests for delay in case…
Neighborhood watch leader George Zimmerman will ask a Florida judge to delay his murder trial and request that Trayvon Martin’s school records and information from the teen’s social media accounts be released.
Zimmerman’s attorneys said in motions made public Monday that they expect to take between 50 and 75 depositions, and more time is needed to review all of the prosecution’s evidence.
Zimmerman’s attorneys say they’ll also ask the judge to allow Martin’s school records to be subpoenaed, as well as information from his Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for the fatal shooting of Martin last February in a gated community in Sanford. He is pleading not guilty, claiming self-defense. Click here to continue reading…

Westgate CEO threatens layoff if President Obama is re-elected…
The man who takes credit for getting George W. Bush elected as president is now making efforts to see that Republican candidate Mitt Romney makes it into the Oval Office, too.
David Siegel, the multi-millionaire founder and CEO of Westgate Resorts, sent out an e-mail last week Monday to more than 7,000 of his employees threatening layoffs if President Barack Obama is re-elected.
The letter reads in the beginning: “The economy doesn’t currently pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is another 4 years of the same presidential administration.”
Right after, Siegel reassures his employees that his intention isn’t to force them to vote one way or the other.
“Of course, as your employer, I can’t tell you whom to vote for, and I certainly wouldn’t interfere with your right to vote for whomever you choose.”
But then later in his letter, he sends a thinly-veiled message: “So where am I going with all this? It’s quite simple. If any new taxies are levied on me, or my company, as our current President plans, I will have no choice but to reduce the size of the company. Rather than grow this company, I will be forced to cut back. This means fewer jobs, less benefits and certainly less opportunity for everyone.”
So, when you make your decision to vote, ask yourself, which candidate understands the economics of business ownership and who doesn’t Whose policies will endanger your job? Answer those questions and you should know who might be the one capable of protecting and saving your job.
Gawker posted an update to the story earlier today addressing suspicions that the letter was fake because it bears similarities to a chain letter that made its way around the Internet during the 2008 election season. The website reached out to Siegel, who confirmed that his letter is real and said that he used the chain letter as a guideline.
“I changed it [to fit my circumstances],” he said. “It speaks the truth and gives [employees] something to think about when they go to the polls.” Click here to continue reading…
Warning signs the Obama campaign should not ignore…
Maybe it’s because I was told there’d be no math when I got into politics, but there comes a point in every campaign when I run screaming from the torrent of poll numbers and go looking for signs and portents, moments that (rightly or wrongly) seem to me to be of potential significance.
Sometimes they can be found in unexpected defections from the ranks. In 1980, for example, Ronald Reagan won the backing of the onetime leader of Manhattan’s Democrats—“Tammany Hall,” as the New York Democratic political machine was known back in the day—as well as former Sen. Eugene McCarthy. By themselves, they could be dismissed as aberrations (McCarthy was famously contrarian), but to me, they spoke of a shift in the political weather.
In 2008, a surprising number of prominent conservatives—ex-Solicitor General Charles Fried, ex-George W. Bush spokesman Scott McClellan and legal scholar Doug Kmiec—joined ex-Secretary of State Colin Powell in throwing their support behind Barack Obama. Click here to continue reading…

The Hollywood heartthrob, who has six multiracial children within the Pitt-Jolie clan, explained the importance of family and the image of his legacy in a recent dialogue with Interview magazine.

Janet Jackson sends legal letter to Vanity Fair…
Janet Jackson has fired off a legal letter to Vanity Fair Editor in Chief Graydon Carter, demanding the publication retract allegations suggesting the music superstar delayed her late brother Michael’s funeral over a financial dispute.
In excerpts from Randall Sullivan‘s upcoming book, Untouchable: The Strange Life and Tragic Death of Michael Jackson, published in the esteemed Condé Nast magazine, it was alleged that Janet, 46, had delayed her sibling’s funeral over money owed relating to the burial plot deposit.
“The article states that, according to Untouchable, Ms Jackson put down a $40,000 deposit to secure a burial plot for Michael Jackson but refused to let the funeral take place until that money was repaid. This is untrue,” Janet’s attorney Blair G. Brown wrote in the letter sent on October 5 and obtained by Celebuzz.
“Ms. Jackson never delayed the funeral in anyway. In fact, she paid for the funeral and was reimbursed for some of those expenses by Michael Jackson’s estate in the year after the services took place.” Click here to continue reading…
Mitt Romney’s sons compares President Obama to ‘obstinate’ child after debate…
Mitt Romney’s sons have reportedly taken greater control of his campaign. And they’ve also begun to speak up more on the stump. In fact, Josh Romney had quite a bit to say about his father’s recent debate, which continues to thrill the GOP base.
Here’s what Josh Romney told a crowd in Iowa on Tuesday:
“I don’t know if you guys saw the debate last week,” Josh Romney said, as the crowd cheered and applauded. “I take a lot of pride in that, because I don’t know if you noticed, but I was… me and my brothers were responsible for my dad doing so well.”
“We were the ones, as kids, that kept saying the same thing over and over. And we’d say the same lie over and over. And my dad learned then, not to believe it. While we didn’t go to any of the formal debate preparation, we did the real hard stuff.”
“So as a father, he learned how to debate an obstinate child. We had a lot of fun, we had a lot of fun watching the debate.”
As Talking Points Memo points out, Mitt Romney took a similar swipe at the president during the debate. Click here to continue reading…

Democrats on edge amid Obama debate fallout…
It’s more than President Barack Obama’s lackluster debate performance that has some Democrats on edge a month from Election Day.
Party loyalists, in Washington and in battleground states, are fretting that Obama’s campaign has been slow to rebound after Republican Mitt Romney’s commanding debate. They’re worried that the Democratic ticket isn’t aggressive enough in blocking Romney’s post-debate pivot to the political center. And they fear Romney’s new effort to show a softer side gives the Republican nominee an opening with female voters, who are crucial to the president’s re-election prospects.
“I’m not feeling very positive,” said Awildadsup Marquez, a prominent Democrat in Colorado. “I know that it’s only the first debate, but he can’t seem to change the relentless negative coverage. Romney has been able to take control.”
Her nervousness was echoed by roughly a dozen Democrats in interviews across the country this week before Obama’s next opportunity to get his campaign back on track — Vice President Joe Biden’s debate Thursday against Republican Paul Ryan.
Obama’s campaign says it’s sticking to its homestretch plan and doesn’t expect major strategy changes. But nevertheless it’s seeking to reassure hand-wringing Democrats that key factors still favor the president. Click here to continue reading…

Bahamas to get ‘Sidney Poitier’ bridge…
A bridge in the Bahamas is being renamed to honor Sidney Poitier, who spent part of his childhood in the island chain east of Florida.
Prime Minister Perry Christie says the Paradise Island Bridge will be rechristened as part of next month’s 40th anniversary celebration of Bahamian independence. Christie says the 88-year-old film star is being honored because of his life story and diplomacy. Poitier has been Bahamian ambassador to Japan and UNESCO.
The Oscar-winning Poitier was born in the United States but spent much of his childhood on Cat Island, a sparsely populated island in the central Bahamas. The Paradise Island Bridge is the largest in the Bahamas. It connects the capital to the Atlantis resort, one of the region’s top tourist destinations. The renaming was announced Tuesday. Romney’s Abortion “Agenda”…
Have you heard the news? Mitt Romney met with editors of the Des Moines Register yesterday and dropped a bombshell. “Romney promises no abortion legislation,” says the Associated Press. “Romney: No abortion legislation,” says Politico. “Romney says no plans to restrict abortion,” says Agence France-Presse.
Nope. That isn’t what Romney said. This is a man with a long history of using technicalities to disguise his abortion views. You have to read his exact words, with attention to the loopholes. So let’s back up and listen to the full audio of Romney’s remarks.
The exchange takes place about 14 minutes into the meeting. A Register staffer asks: “Do you intend to pursue any legislation specifically regarding abortion?” Romney answers: “There’s no legislation with regards to abortion that I’m familiar with that would become part of my agenda.” Click here to continue reading…

President Obama: “I was too polite” during last week’s debate, promises it won’t happen again…
When radio host Tom Joyner asked his Morning Show guest Barack Obama what the hell happened at the first presidential debate, the president didn’t equivocate or offer up any excuses.
“I think it’s fair to say I was just too polite,” POTUS responded.
You have a seven-game series, we’re up two zero and we lose one. You know, this is a long haul and I think that it’s very important for folks to make sure that they understand that as long as people stay focused, we will win this thing.
He did go on to criticize his opponent for “put[ting] forward a whole bunch of stuff that…involved him running away from positions that he had taken,” but promised next time around he won’t be as nice.
“I think it’s fair to say that we will see a little more activity at the next one,” Obama said.
The next presidential debate will be a “town meeting format” Q&A at Hofstra University, and is scheduled for 9:00 PM ET on October 16th via Gawker.
FLOTUS Michelle Obama stands by her man after debate backlash: ‘They intimidate the hell out of you’…
Although most of the pundit class has resoundingly panned President Barack Obama’s performance in his first televised debate opposite Mitt Romney, one supporter remains firmly in his corner — first lady Michelle Obama. In a recent roundtable discussion she admitted how nerve-wracking having to sit quietly and watch her husband debate can be. Huffington Post reports:
While President Barack Obama has acknowledged that his performance in the first debate failed to impress some voters, his wife said on Tuesday that she felt like the proud and nervous mother of an Olympian watching from the stands.
“When you watch the Olympics and you see all the gymnasts’ parents, that’s how I feel,” first lady Michelle Obama told a small group of reporters at a roundtable discussion in Leesburg, Va.
“But you cant gesture, you can’t yell, ‘GO BABY! Yes!’ They intimidate the hell out of you. So I’m just squeezing my hands, trying to make sure that I’m paying attention, because that’s the only instruction he gives — ‘Just look like you’re listening, that’s all I want.’”
The first lady said she disagrees with criticisms of her husband’s debate performance and could not be prouder of how he conducted himself. Click here to continue reading…
Five ways Obama can bounce back…
There’s no denying it. Barack Obama had a really, really bad debate. The New Yorker has ridiculed him on its cover. “Saturday Night Live” took its shots.
From Jon Stewart to David Letterman, the comedy community has worked the president’s belly-flop from his podium at the University of Denver so hard that if you set up a joke with the words “Obama” and “debate” you don’t even need a punchline.
The results of the debate were not just a source of late-night hilarity either. Pollsters have also been worked up into a lather.
Romney’s win was by an unprecedented margin. It helped close yawning gaps nationally, in swing states and among key groups like women. Pundits, depending on what flavor they were, wringed their hands or gloated. Wise men just shook their heads in knowing silence.
So the question is what can the president do to rebound? Although the White House hasn’t called me yet asking for tips, here’s a few of the tidbits of advice I’d give if they did:
I know this is what everyone is telling you not to do. But, listen to me, they are the people who got you in trouble in the first place. By far the biggest benefit of getting clobbered in the debate is that it should be a wake-up call for you. Time to study up (like you didn’t do last time). Time to stop believing your campaign’s cartoonish characterizations of Romney. He’s a real, formidable, guy. A serious opponent. Take him seriously this time.
2. Don’t panic, nothing has changed
I got your attention with the line about panicking. But the reality is you have every reason to remain calm, starting with the fact that you are a preternaturally calm person. First, it was inevitable given your lead in the polls that you would be on the losing side of the expectations game and post-first debate spin.
Next, you know as well as anyone that even after spending a billion on this campaign, you and Mitt Romney are going to end up with America roughly split as it was before this whole dog-and-pony show started. Click here to continue reading…

Photos emerged last Tuesday of Nicole Kidman dressed up as Princess Grace Kelly, shooting scenes for the upcoming film Grace of Monaco. The movie, set in 1962, follows the tragic star, who hit it big in Hollywood before marrying Price Rainier of Monaco in 1956.
Kidman wears a short blonde wig for the role, and will likely don a variety of vintage looks (like the yellow jacket she wore last Tuesday) throughout filming. Kelly was known for her classic sense of style and often flamboyant hats, which we can’t wait to see.
Production is currently taking place in Menton, a commune in the southeastern section of France, not far from Monaco. Kidman’s husband, Keith Urban, has been by with the couple’s daughters, Sunday and Faith, during the shoot.
Grace of Monaco also features Tim Roth as Prince Rainier, plus Paz Vega, Parker Posey, Frank Langella and Milo Ventimiglia. The film’s director, Olivier Dahan, also directed 2007′s acclaimed La Vie en Rose – via People.

Kristi Yamaguchi is offering 20% off her active wear line, Tsu.ya, today! The mom-of-two and Olympic ice skating champion says her comfy duds are versatile with attention to detail with “ruching, ruffles and hints of gold.”
Kristi opens up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about her clothing line that gives back to kids in need, her Halloween plans with “girly girl” daughters Keara, 8, and Emma, 6, and her upcoming skating events.
CBS: We hear Tsu.ya is now available for purchase on your website. Tell us all about your collection. How does it stand apart from other active wear brands?
KY:“To start, I really wanted to put a lot of emphasis on the versatility of the line. Yes it’s clothing you can work out in, but we wanted to create a more fashionable take on the normal active wear.”
“We’ve added details like ruching, ruffles and hints of gold into the line that make it more feminine and easy to wear from the gym, to the grocery, to pick up kids from school and even meet up with friends without an outfit change.”
“We’ve incorporated lines and shapes that flatter a woman’s body and high quality, moisture wicking fabric that keeps up with busy women that are constantly on the go.”Click here to read full interview…
Khloe Kardashian looks gorgeously casual during a Miami coffee run…
Last Wednesday, the 28-year-old stepped out in the Miami sun wearing a skin-tight black-and-white strapless lace dress — an item from the Sears Kardashian Kollection line.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star finished off her look with a Louis Vuitton clutch and strappy sandals. The brunette beauty, who was being followed by a camera crew, was also joined by makeup artist Scotty Cunha during the afternoon coffee break.
But what was Kardashian taking a break from?
The reality TV star was hard at work on a photo shoot with her sisters Kourtney and Kim for the UK women’s store Dorothy Perkins. Following the shoot, Kardashian took to Twitter to confess that she wasn’t able to wear heels during Wednesday’s photo session:
“I don’t like when I can’t wear high heels in shoots because my sisters are short LOL I’m tall, I love high heels and I embrace it!”she wrote, adding that at 5’9” and a half, she towers over her sisters via Celebuzz.
Wonder is the best kids’ Book of the Year…
The book that has moved me most in the past year is Wonder by R.J. Palacio. It’s the fictional story of August Pullman, a 10-year-old with a very different-looking face—the result of a chromosomal abnormality and an illness—and his journey from the nest of homeschooling to the wilds of middle school. I listened to Wonder with my husband and my 9- and 12-year-old sons on a summer camping trip, and we spent hours mesmerized by the story and talking about the characters.
Auggie knows that his appearance shocks people; he’s confronted constantly by that reality. Still, he’s got enough confidence to try to make friends. And over the course of his fifth-grade year, he’s rewarded for the effort. His perseverance came as an enormous relief to everyone in my family, because this is a children’s book, after all, and because the character had completely imprinted on our hearts.
My favorite thing about Wonder, though, is not that Auggie perseveres—it’s how unsparing the book is about the trouble he encounters along the way. For a time, the standard practice among the students at Auggie’s school is to wash their hands if they touch him accidentally. He overhears a boy he considers his best friend saying he’d want to kill himself if he looked like Auggie.
His sister is loyal, but doesn’t want him to visit her high school, where she’s recently enrolled and for the first time has the chance to be just herself, instead of the girl with the brother whose face repels people. This is a book that makes you feel what it’s like to be Auggie, but also what it’s like to be the people around him. Click here to continue reading…
Sofia Vergara loves to be confused for her son Manolo’s girlfriend and sister…
Most men would love to be confused for Sofia Vergara’s boyfriend. Her 20 year-old son Manolo isn’t one of them.
In the latest issue of the UK edition of OK Magazine, the 40 year-old actress was asked how she feels when people mistakenly assume that her son is her boyfriend or brother.
“I love that! Especially when they say he’s my brother,” Vergara told OK Magazine. “But he hates it if I’m with him and someone says, ‘Oh tell your sister to come,’ and I don’t correct them. He’s like, ‘Tell them you’re my mom!’ But I don’t.”
The Colombian actress insists that Manolo, 20, has a hard time accepting his mother’s ‘Sex Symbol’ image.
“Six months ago there was this Internet story saying I was the third most beautiful woman, behind Mila Kunis and someone else who is, like 20 years younger than me,” Vergara told the UK edition of Glamour magazine.
“Then the next day, I’d just woken up – not looking my best, because I’d had a few drinks the night before – and he starts calling my boyfriend, going, ‘Hey, come take a look at the third most beautiful woman in the world!’” Click here to continue reading…

Black GOP opportunism? Why Stacey Dash’s Romney endorsement struck a chord…
Actress Stacey Dash is voting for Mitt Romney. For those who may be too young to remember, Dash is best known for starring in the seminal 1990s film Clueless, where, alongside Alicia Silverstone, she portrayed a fairly dim high school student learning lessons about life and love.
It’s true, there are plenty of self-identified black Republicans. We’ve had enough discussions among ourselves and in the media for everyone to know that we, as black people, are not a monolith and we do not all think and/or vote alike.
Even when the polls showed 0 percent African-American support for Romney, we knew the GOP candidate wouldn’t receive zero black votes, it was just that statistically whatever number he did receive wouldn’t matter.
We’re accustomed to prominent black Republicans. Former NBA player and now television analyst Greg Anthony is one of them. Dating back to at least his college days, Anthony has been a member of the Republican party. But in 2008, he, like a number of black Republicans, voted for Barack Obama.
This year, Anthony is voting for Romney, going as far as to record a commercial for the candidate in which he says he “lost faith” in Obama. Click here to continue reading and watch the video clip below of Stacey Dash’s recent interview on her political stance…

‘America’s Report Card 2012’ gives U.S. a C-minus on ensuring educational opportunities, providing for children…
A joint report by Save the Children and First Focus has awarded the U.S. a C-minus overall grade when it comes to providing for and ensuring educational opportunities for the nation’s children.
“America’s Report Card 2012: Children in the U.S.” is the first in an annual report card series of evaluations commissioned by former Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) and current Sen. Bob Casey (D-Penn.) in 2010.
The U.S. earned subpar grades in five categories representing key domains of a child’s life: economic security, early childhood, K-12 education, permanence and stability, and health and safety.
The report was formally presented at a conference Wednesday morning in Washington, D.C. Bruce Lesley, president of First Focus, and Mark Shriver, senior vice president of Save the Children’s U.S. Programs, joined Dodd, Casey and Save the Children Ambassador Jennifer Garner in discussing some of the issues addressed in the study. Olivia Munn: “My job is my boyfriend and I like it that way”…
Olivia Munn would rather be working than dating — but she still has a sexy new plan for 2010: “BJ Fridays!” Now that she’s starred in Iron Man 2, Olivia Munn’s career is really starting to take off – but because she’s so focused on work, the brunette beauty has zero time for boys!
“Everyone I know is pretty much married or engaged and I’m literally the only one that’s really single,” the 30-year-old G4 host told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at Kari Feinstein’s Emmy suite on August 27.
“Is it not healthy? I go to work and I don’t want to leave it! I miss it when I am gone. I can’t wait to get back to it; it’s completely pathetic.” She adds, laughing,
“[It’s a good thing unless] you go home and you’re eating Ramen by yourself wishing you had a cat! My whole life is my work…it takes away from any private and personal time I have. I might as well be working through that, bury it really down deep inside. When I am alone I can bury it in work.”
The actress is still playing the field after splitting from Star Trek actor Chris Pine in January – but she knows she WILL find someone eventually, even if she’s suffering right now. In the meantime she has an INVENTIVE way to spend her Friday nights. Click here to continue reading…

The first daughters Sasha and Malia are unmoved by the election…
While the political and social spheres are up in arms about the upcoming election, Sasha and Malia are thinking about other things.
“They are so far removed from this world,” said First Lady Michelle Obama during a round table discussion. “They don’t ask about the election. They don’t care. Dance this weekend, big science test, homecoming is coming up, those are the things they’re really focused on. They’re just not connected,” explained the First Lady.
Although not concerned about the election, Sasha and Malia do have other things that sometimes make them want to act out. The girls, however, are reminded by mom that:
“Everybody’s watching. We just have to have real conversations even now, that’s like, you can’t go off on somebody, you can’t act bratty, because you may be having a moment, but somebody could use that moment and try to define you forever.”
“So you want to be cognizant of that, and I think all kids are in that position now. Understanding that what you put on the Internet, what you say now can be a part of your life forever. It lives forever. And again it’s not different from what we need to be talking to all our kids about, but I do let them know that there’s a little extra burden,” said Mrs. Obama.
Malia,14, has taken her mom’s advice and run with it, seeking positive relationships and activities that will build character. Sasha,11, has also listened to her mother’s advice about exhibiting class and elegance in public. Contrary to some children their age, Sasha and Malia do not use Facebook as a way to relieve tension because they know that…everybody’s watching.” Via BCK.
Laura Govan talks weight loss and love…
New York City is apparently experiencing a Govan takeover. There are two very small — yet very lively — Afro-Hispanic women who differ significantly in demeanor invading the metropolis on this mid-September day. One Govan woman is already well into her rolling out cover shoot with her husband, when the second Govan sister pops up on set.
Where Gloria Govan seems polished and sugary sweet, her sister, Laura, reads a little less refined, a lot more boisterous and a smidgen more bona fide. She’s walking like a bird (her words), because she’s just had a fresh pedicure and is wearing the thin drying sandals dished out at nail shops. In attempt to keep her polish smudge-free, she’s aping the gait of an ostrich.
Dare we say an elegant and very thin one at that. “Someone came up to me and said, ‘Hey, you’re Laura!’” says the “Basketball Wives LA” star with a trademark smile that covers half of her slender face. After quickly denying that it was indeed her, the svelte mother of four demonstrates how she walked away, birdlike and all, before plopping down into the makeup chair. “We created the first-ever White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans.”
On Health Care:
“…the numbers of working poor who don’t have health care who are African American or Latino are higher than the general population…the 30 million people who are going to be able to get health care for the first time…are going to be African Americans.”
Spotted: Jillian Michaels and family…
The Biggest Loser star Jillian Michaels and her partner Heidi Rhoades hit the farmer’s market in Malibu on Sunday (October 7). Daughter Lukensia, 2, hitched a ride on the back of the stroller while little brother Phoenix, 5 months, stayed covered from the California sun.
“I used to tell moms that for the sake of their well-being they had to put themselves first,” Jillian recently said. “But I know now that’s not always possible.”
The new mom, 38, added: “I have two kids. I think that really says it all in every possible way. I don’t watch Mad Men or True Blood anymore I watch Barney! You know, I have play dates now instead of happy hour. It’s a whole new world.”via CelebBabyScoop.

Matt Damon blames daughters for gray hair…
When Matt Damon looks in the mirror these days, he knows exactly who’s responsible for his changing appearance.
“I point out all of the gray and I say to my daughters, ‘You did this and you did this and you did this,’” the father of four joked to PEOPLE Tuesday during a dinner for Argo hosted by the Peggy Siegal Company at Porter House steakhouse in New York. “They really think it’s funny.”
Damon doesn’t mind it, though — even if the studios do. “They dyed the gray out for We Bought a Zoo, but I was like, ‘I like my gray hair,’” he said. “I’m proud of it.”
Now sporting a buzz cut for an upcoming role, Damon will have to weather the N.Y.C. winter clean-shaven. But “it’s okay,” he said. “ I’ve got a beanie.” Via People.

It was assumed that Ambrosius was attempting to make a statement about her sexuality, however she shut that down quickly. On Friday, she posted on her facebook:
“Double standards! Any male artist can openly brag about how many groupies he gets! Can u imagine how many men AND women have come on to me??? Listen to my music! I tell it! Always! I am not a lesbian! I am straight!
I will never say I haven’t fantasized or had sexually explicit dreams about women before! That would make me liar! I’ve been called a lesbian since I got into the entertainment business!

Tamera Mowry-Housely: “My belly is off limits for touching”…
Tamera Mowry-Housley’s belly is off limits and she wants the world to know. The actress recently sat down with Zap 2 It to talk about her pregnancy, and she was sure to comment on some people’s instinct to want to touch her baby bump.
“I can’t take it anymore,” says Mowry. “So, I can see the hand coming in slo-mo, and then I just quickly cover it… I just cover my belly with my hands, and I cover it before they can get to it, so what they do is touch my hands.”
Mowry gave out great advice to people who have the instinct to randomly touch pregnant women’s bellies:
“Realize that the belly is between two very important areas of a woman’s body, and they’re very private,” said the actress. “It’s still part of her. It’s her personal property! If she wasn’t pregnant, would you just walk up and touch her?”
Tamera and husband Adam Housley expect their first child, a boy, to arrive some time this moth. The couple wed last year and are enjoying life.
“I have no complaints,” Tamera says. “Everything’s going great. I’ve been married for almost a year and a half, having a baby, have a hit show with my sister.” Via BCK.

Mariska Hargitay: “Three kids is a game changer”…
Mariska Hargitay is happily married with three children and doesn’t plan on adding to her family any time soon. The actress recently told USA Today that Amaya, Andrew, and August have called for her to make adjustments in life.
“Three kids is a game changer,” said the actress. “I thought I was done after Amaya and then Andrew came along. Andrew has been the biggest unexpected blessing. A year ago, if you’d asked me if I’d have three kids, I would have said I’m done.”
“Here I am, loving life. It’s hard. There are times when I cry. I have a dressing room at work and they come twice a week. I have my Fridays with the kids. My weekends are extremely precious. I just figure it out.”
In figuring it out, Mariska has not neglected to lead by example in teaching her kids the importance of positively contributing to society’s well-being.
“When we’re on the street and someone drops something, I pick it up. If you stop for one second and do something, everyone is happy. You pay it forward and it comes back to you twelve-fold,” explained the star.
Mariska and husband Peter Hermann adopted Amaya and Andrew within a six month time span last year. The couple welcomed their first son, August, into the world in 2006 via BCK.
Florida adopts academic achievement standards based on Race, Ethnicity, echoes Virginia…
Just a few weeks after a similar move by Virginia was met with controversy, Florida has also adopted achievement standards based on race and ethnicity.
Approved this week by the Florida Board of Education, the new race-based standards affect all 2.6 million students that attend the state’s 3,629 public schools. The mandate stipulates that by 2018, 90 percent of Asian students, 88 percent of white students, 81 percent of Hispanic students and 74 percent of black students are to be reading at or above grade level.
The state also wants 86 percent of white students, 92 percent of Asians, 80 percent of Hispanics and 74 percent of blacks to be at or above their math grade level, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
The new goals are required under Florida’s waiver from No Child Left Behind. Many expressed skepticism over the race-based targets.
“To expect less from one demographic and more from another is just a little off-base,” Juan Lopez, magnet coordinator at John F. Kennedy Middle School in Riviera Beach, told the Palm Beach Post. The school’s black student population is about 88 percent.
“Our kids, although they come from different socioeconomic backgrounds, they still have the ability to learn. To dumb down the expectations for one group, that seems a little unfair.” Click here to continue reading…

Connie Britton talks adoption and more with ‘Redbook’…
Almost a year after adopting Baby Yoby, Connie Britton opened up about her decision to become a mom:
“I always knew I wanted a child, and I always assumed I’d be doing it with a man,” said Britton during an interview with Redbook.
The actress further explained:
“My parents passed away within three years of each other. Right after that, a light bulb went off in my head and I thought, ‘What am I waiting for?’ I wasn’t in a relationship at the time, but I thought, ‘This is something I want to do. I can do it.’”
As a mother and actress, Britton has quite a lot in common with Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock. She even joked about starting a celebrity adoption club with the actresses.
“Me and Angelina [Jolie] and Sandra Bullock and Mary-Louise Parker [could] just get together every weekend, drink rosé, and talk about kids,” said Britton.
The actress continued: “No, that is not the case. Not that I wouldn’t love to get together with all of them and discuss their experiences. But there is a community of people who have adopted children from Ethiopia, and that’s something I want to be a part of for sure. To me it’s really important for my son to have a strong sense of that background.” Via BCK.

V.P. Biden takes Ryan around the world…
When it comes to foreign policy, the GOP’s veep candidate is often speechless. It wasn’t as lopsided as Gov. Romney’s win over President Obama last week, but Joe Biden mopped the floor with Paul Ryan in their debate Thursday night, on foreign as well as domestic policy, though on one big issue—the drawdown of troops in Afghanistan—the vice president had his facts wrong.
The first issue on the table was Libya. Rep. Ryan correctly chided the Obama administration for taking a week to admit that the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was a terrorist assault, not a protest that got out of hand, and for not protecting the facility with more Marines.
Biden replied that Obama’s statements reflected the intelligence community’s analysis and that when the analysis changed, so did his statements. He said that Thomas Pickering, a veteran ambassador, was conducting an investigation. He also noted that Congress, with Ryan’s vote, had reduced the budget for embassy security by $300 million—and recalled that Romney came out, right after the attack, and gave a press conference before knowing any of the facts: hardly presidential behavior. Click here to continue reading…
V.P. Biden brings the fire at vice presidential debate…
Joe Biden seemed to watch everything President Obama did last week in his debate and do the exact opposite.
The president looked on as Mitt Romney spoke over the moderator last week, seeming more observer than participant at times. Biden repeatedly interrupted not only Paul Ryan but also ABC’s Martha Raddatz.
Obama didn’t bring up Mitt Romney’s controversial 47 percent remark, but the vice-president attacked not only that one, but a similar 30 percent remark Ryan made.
Obama wouldn’t accuse Romney of lying, while Biden at one point accused Ryan of speaking ” a bunch of malarkey” and later said, “not a single thing he’s said has been accurate.”
Biden at times seemed determined to list every fact possible to rebut Ryan, reeling off controversial comments and stands by Romney and Ryan. The debate wasn’t a blowout: Ryan gave strong answers on many questions, and Biden’s smirking and interruptions at times seemed over the top.
But Biden’s performance is likely to comfort Democrats, who have been worried over the last week’s debate, which resulted in Romney moving to a tie in most polls with the president. It could blunt a further shift away from the president. Click here to continue reading…
Fact check: A 2nd look at Biden and Ryan claims
Vice President Biden and Rep. Paul Ryan disputed a range of facts during their debate Thursday in Danville, KY. Here are a few foreign policy claims worth examining:
Claim: Ryan said President Obama took two weeks to acknowledge the Sept. 11 attack on the Benghazi consulate was conducted by terrorists rather than protesters.
The facts: This is mostly false. White House spokesman Jay Carney said at the Sept. 20 White House news briefing that the incident was a terrorist attack. The president himself, speaking on Late Night With David Letterman on Sept. 18, a week after the attack, said “terrorists and extremists” had attacked U.S. diplomatic installations in Libya and elsewhere, using a controversial video that portrayed the prophet Mohammed as a pedophile as a pretext.
In fact, Obama called the assault “an act of terror” in remarks on Sept. 12. However, Carney and other top administration officials, including U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, continued to describe the incident as part of a protest outside the U.S. diplomatic mission for several days after the incident.
Claim: Biden said Ryan’s budget called for a $300 million cut to security of the U.S. Embassy in Libya.
The facts: Ryan’s budget plan would have cut non-defense discretionary spending by 19% in 2014, according to The Hill newspaper. The blueprint doesn’t specify cuts to embassy security, but the Obama campaign says the figure — if applied across the board — would result in a $300 million decrease in funding for protection, construction and maintenance of all U.S. embassies. The Romney campaign disputed the claim, saying no specific cuts were recommended. Click here to continue reading…
Spotted: Amber Rose out and about…
Mom-to-be Amber Rose was spotted out Los Angeles, Calif. on Thursday (October 11). The 28-year-old model wore a jean vest and a dress knotted at the bottom. She gave “the okay sign” as she was walking along. Her fiancé, 25-year-old rapper Wiz Khalifa, wasn’t with her.
Asked if the couple have set a wedding date yet Wiz says no.
“Nah, there’s no date set yet. But we’ll probably get licensed and married before the baby’s born, and do a wedding afterwards because it makes more sense for the baby to be in the wedding than for her to be pregnant. Some people, they rush and do it. But, it works both ways.”
Amber added, “Yeah, we definitely want our baby to be in our wedding pictures. And you know, being pregnant, I’m tired a lot. So to have a whole wedding and planning it all out and the reception—I just don’t want to be sleeping when everybody’s partying at our wedding.” Via CelebBabyScoop.

Jackson says there was no “mad scramble for money” after her brother, the King of Pop Michael Jackson, died, and she wants a retraction from Vanity Fair.
“I’m fighting back because these are outright blatant lies, and I want people to know the truth. I’m taking action towards everyone involved,” La Toya told the New York Daily News at last night’s event.
Lucy Liu was a guest on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’…
Lucy Liu made an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, continuing promotion for hew new show, ‘Elementary’. With her flawless skin and shiny brunette locks, the Charlie’s Angel star easily defied her 43 years while waving to fans outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City.
The vampy fashionista hasn’t worn anything this impressive since last month’s Emmy Awards where she literally had a pair of pliers in her purse in case her Versace dress made of metal got warped.
The Asian-American star, who broke up with New York businessman Noam Gottesman last year, talked about being single on the cover of the November issue of Easy Living Magazine.
‘I have always said that I don’t know what I want in a relationship, but I am learning what I don’t want,’ Liu told the UK mag. ‘It’s like a slow process of elimination. It can take a while.’
She also talked about her fitness routine, revealing, ‘I try to run or do Pilates every day. If I can get even a mile in, I think it’s really helpful. It gives you energy.’
Several screenshots of Lucy’s next film, The Man with the Iron Fists, were also released this week.
In the kung-fu epic, helmed by former Wu-Tang Clan member RZA, Lucy’s Madame Blossom character is seen getting very up close and personal with Russell Crowe’s villainous Jackknife. The Man with the Iron Fists, due out November 2, is set in feudal China where a small-town blacksmith must defend himself and his fellow villagers.
The evergreen actress also plays the first female Doctor Watson on the new crime drama Elementary, which airs Thursday nights on CBS.
Lucy stars with Jonny Lee Miller, 39, in the new spin on Sherlock Holmes where the famous detective is tattooed and fresh out of rehab. As Holmes’ sober companion, Joan, Liu said her former surgeon will definitely have her own demons to battle as the show unfolds.
‘Her story is going to come in dribs and drabs,’ the Kill Bill star recently told The Huffington Post.

Adam & Tamera Mowry-Housley LASH OUT at Twitter bullies ATTACKING her political beliefs…
Reality TV star and actress Tamera Mowry-Housley was attacked on Thursday night for her “alleged” political beliefs on Twitter causing her husband to attack back and defend her honor. And then things turned racial.
It all started last night as the very pregnant actress Tamera Mowry-Housley spoke on the 2012 Vice Presidential Debate and Rt’d a follower who said that it was hard to watch because of the candidates constantly interrupting each other. Well, you would have thought that she pledged her allegiance to Satan as Tweeters jumped ALL over her.
Tweeters assumed that because Tamera’s husband is white and works at FOX News, that it meant she was attacking Biden and voting for Mitt Romney, and they weren’t happy. As hate tweets flowed in, Tamera tweeted:
This isn’t the first time Tamera has been attacked regarding her husband Adam, as she revealed during a recent interview with ZAP 2 It. She said,
“There were certain Websites who were saying horrible things about the fact that we’re an interracial couple. It’s like, really? About that? it’s 2012 — at that time, it was 2011.
“We didn’t even know the people. It was just a site that allows people to comment on a picture. … More than one person was saying cruel things. So, we got it from both sides, and it’s like, ‘Oooh, that’s weird.'”
Tamera has been developing a thick skin when it comes to the critiques on her marriage. And she says she’s had to deal with many outside opinions due to her hit reality show “Tia & Tamera.” She said,
“Doing a reality show, you’re open for the world to see. People are open to judge, and you’re open to judging. As an actress, they’re judging your talent; they’re judging how you play your role. Whereas this, they’re judging you as a human being. Fortunately, with our show, we have more positive than negative.”
You can catch “Tia & Tamera” when it returns to the Style Network on Tuesday, Oct. 16. The reality star will also star in the Gospel Music Channel movie, “Christmas Angel,” premiering Dec. 1 via YFB.
Jordin Sparks and Jason Durelo talk marriage…
Lately, pop stars Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo have been talking about the ultimate collaboration: their wedding!
Former American Idol winner Sparks, 22, opened up to Us Weekly on the red carpet at City of Hope Honors Halston’s Ben Malka bash in L.A. Wednesday about her year-long romance with the R&B crooner — and revealed that they’re already talking marriage.
“It’s not a conversation that we’re scared about,” Sparks explains. “Before, we both went through tragedies this year — he broke his neck and then [Sparkle costar] Whitney [Houston] passed — so before it might have been a little too crazy.”
“(While practicing choreography for his tour in January, Derulo missed a landing and fell on his neck, fracturing one of his vertebra. Doctors reportedly told him he “could have” been paralyzed. Sparks’ onscreen mother Houston died on February 11 at the age of 48.)”
Sparks says the couple’s priorities shifted after they took some time to reflect on the year’s events.
“You really see the people you love and you go, I don’t want to lose you,” she explained. “So, it’s a conversation we have, but we’re not in a rush.”
Although it might be a little while before wedding bells ring for the pair, Sparks says she’ll be thrilled whenever Derulo, 23, decides to pop the question.
“I hope he does!” Sparks exclaimed. “It’s not happening yet, but I hope so!” Via USWeekly.
Congratulations! Alfonso Ribeiro is married!
Cousin Carlton is married!
This is the second marriage for Ribeiro, who has a 9-year-old daughter, Sienna, with ex-wife Robin Stapler. He and Unkrich, 31, were engaged in July. The Bronx-born Ribeiro, 41, hit the big time as a child star in the ’80s, dancing in a Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson and playing Rick Schroder’s sidekick on the sitcom Silver Spoons from 1984 to 1987.
He went on to play spoiled Carlton Banks opposite Smith on Fresh Prince, and the character’s awkward “Carlton dance” to the Tom Jones hit “It’s Not Unusual” became a Gen Y favorite. He later performed his moves in an L.A. flash mob that became a YouTube sensation.
A look at this weekend’s box office openings: ‘Argo‘ & ‘Seven Psychopath‘…
Aspiring filmmakers will be flocking to the box office this weekend as not one, but two new releases revolves around movie-making.
Ben Affleck’s ‘Argo‘:
Based on true events, Ben Affleck’s Argo revolves a CIA agent who must disguise himself as a Canadian filmmaker in order to slip into Iran during the Iranian Revolution and rescue six American hostages. During the ordeal, the agent (Affleck) drums up a dummy film production company and sci-fi movie in order to fool those who are guarding the borders.
The film, which is based on events that took place during the 1979 Iran Hostage Crisis, tells the behind-the-scenes, still not generally known story of how the CIA’s top extractor, Tony Mendez (played by Ben Affleck), pulled off one of the most bizarre top secret plans involving Hollywood and a Star Wars-like film project.
If the truth behind the mission hadn’t been declassified by the US government during Clinton’s presidency, we’d be highly doubtful Argo has any basis in fact. But it was declassifed, and we now know that when Iranian revolutionaries attacked the US Embassy, six staffers snuck out unnoticed and were taken in by Canadian Ambassador Ken Taylor (Victor Garber).
Sam Rockwell’s ‘Seven Psychopaths‘:
Starring Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken and Woody Harrelson, Seven Psychopaths follows an aspiring screenwriter who accidentally finds himself in the crosshairs of a local mob boss when his friends accidentally kidnaps the kingpin’s beloved ‘Shih Tzu’. Stuck on getting a story out, writer (Rockwell) then starts documenting their adventures as a part of his movie.
The Plot: A struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster’s beloved dog.
